How to Heal
Every way to restore Elliot's HP — and what to do when you fall.
The quick answer
Drink Recovery Medicine from your Shortcut Commands (you need Empty Vials to carry it), grab Life Drops that enemies and pots drop, or touch a red-crystal guidepost for a free full heal. If Elliot falls in battle, Faie can revive you on the spot for a cost in tul.
Healing items (4)
These are the consumables and pickups that restore Elliot's health.
| Recovery Medicine | consumable | The most common healing item. Bought from shops and used via the Shortcut Commands to restore Elliot's HP. Requires Empty Vials to carry in inventory. |
| Empty Vial | material | Containers required to hold Recovery Medicine in the inventory. Must be purchased alongside medicine. |
| Life Drop | consumable | A small HP pickup found on the ground. Occasionally dropped when defeating enemies or destroying interactables (barrels, pots, grass, etc.), but only when Elliot is below full HP. |
| Shard of Life | key | A vitality-upgrade item that also fully heals Elliot the moment it is obtained. Awarded by clearing Shrine of Life trials; collecting four raises Elliot's maximum vitality (health) by one heart. (Tip: delay healing until after opening a chest in case it holds a Shard.) |
Don't waste a heal
Life Drops only appear when Elliot is below full HP — destroying barrels, pots and grass at full health won't drop them. And before opening a chest, hold off on healing: a Shard of Life fully heals you the instant you grab it, so you'd be wasting medicine.
Free heals from the world
- Red-crystal guideposts — these save points heal Elliot to full whenever he approaches. You can fast-travel to one for a free top-up. (Blue-crystal posts are standard saves and don't heal.)
- Shard of Life — clearing a Shrine of Life trial awards a Shard that fully heals you on pickup; collect four to raise Elliot's max vitality by one heart.
- Heuria's Partner Power — when Princess Heuria travels with you in the Age of Safekeeping, her Partner Power heals Elliot to full. It only works in that age.
Reviving after you fall
If Elliot loses all his vitality, you don't get kicked to a game-over screen. Faie can revive him to continue exactly where the fight was interrupted — but revival costs tul, the currency of Philabieldia. Weigh your finances and your surroundings before reviving; sometimes it's cheaper to reload than to pay up mid-dungeon.
FAQ
Why can't I carry healing medicine?
You need Empty Vials to hold Recovery Medicine in your inventory. Buy vials alongside the medicine at shops.
How do I heal for free?
Approach a red-crystal guidepost — it heals you to full. Life Drops from enemies and pots also cost nothing, but only appear when you're already hurt.
What heals me the most at once?
A red guidepost, a Shard of Life, or Heuria's Partner Power all restore full HP. Recovery Medicine and Life Drops top you up in smaller amounts.
Does dying cost me anything?
Faie's revival isn't free — it's paid in tul. There's no item cost, just currency.
