How Long to Beat
How many hours The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales takes.
The quick answer
A standard main-story playthrough runs about 30 hours. Completionists who explore the whole map across the four ages should expect around 50 hours. (Figures per the developer / Game8.)
Estimated playtime
| Main Story (standard playthrough) | ~30 hours |
| Completionist (explore the whole map) | ~50 hours |
What changes your time
- Exploration. The gap between ~30 and ~50 hours is mostly optional content — side areas, hidden stronger weapons, Shrines of Life, and full map clearing.
- Backtracking. New Faie abilities open paths in places you've already been, so completionists revisit earlier ages.
- Side activities. Things like Faie's Magic Lessons (and collectibles such as Records and cats) add time if you chase them.
Where the hours go
The main story runs across the Prologue and all four Ages — Budding, Magic, Reconstruction and Safekeeping — each with its own dungeons, a boss and Shrines of the Mystic. A focused run that sticks to the critical path lands near the 30-hour mark.
The road to ~50 hours is paved with the optional layer: hunting stronger same-type weapons hidden in caves and ruins, clearing every Shrine, forming and experimenting with magicite, and chasing collectibles. The True Ending in particular is a long-haul goal — it asks you to pass back through the Ages, gather the three sages, and collect a large number of cats (roughly 35–50), which alone can add several hours for completionists.
Co op note
These times assume solo play. Pace in local co op varies depending on how you split puzzle and combat duties between Elliot and Faie.
