Shrines of the Mystic
The structures where Faie learns new magic.
What are the Shrines of the Mystic?
Scattered across Philabieldia are structures known as the Shrines of the Mystic, wherein the fairy Faie learns new magic powers. Each new ability you earn at a shrine opens up fresh dungeon routes and puzzle solutions, so visiting them is how you unlock progress throughout the game.
Magic Learned at the Shrines
Warp
Teleports Elliot to Faie’s position. Used to cross gaps, solve puzzles, and dodge boss attacks at the last second. This is the first magic Faie learns (in the Prologue).
Ignite
Lights torches, melts ice, and detonates explosives — including setting off beastmen bombs early. Enhanced Ignite becomes a strong ranged boss tool.
Vacuum
Pulls in enemies, loot and objects — and can drag foes off ledges. Also used to gather the magicite that bosses drop.
Copy
Turns Faie into a mirror of Elliot to press switches and copy thrown weapons or bombs. Pairs with magicite for tricks like four boomerangs at once.
The game confirms more shrines and abilities exist, but only these four are named in published sources so far.
Don’t Confuse: Shrines of Life
Separate from the Shrines of the Mystic are the Shrines of Life — combat/puzzle trials that each reward a Shard of Life. Collect 4 Shards for +1 max vitality (the full game has 60 Shards total). The Mystic shrines teach magic; the Life shrines raise your health.
