Era & Setting

The Age of Magic centers on Weyzn, a city of magnificent buildings sustained by two rival research institutes: Forthewor (director Hildebrandt, pursuing advancement by any means) and Formanit (director Fausta, pursuing the enrichment of people’s lives). Citizens depend wholly on magic, and researchers study magical organisms called thaumata.

Geared Ruins — Mirror Puzzles

The Geared Ruins are full-length in the Age of Magic. Solve room-spanning mirror-reflection puzzles to win a large boss key, then face the twin mechanical boss. This is also the site of the third sage and the “Nomutota” Mystic Seal charge for the Leytstaff Sword (needed for the Standard Ending — see The Four Ages & Endings).

Faie’s Copy ability (mirror Elliot to press switches and copy thrown weapons) pairs naturally with the mirror theme here. Remember the dungeon rule: ruins that are short here run at full length in another Age.
