Era & Setting
The Age of Budding is the period furthest back in time, at the dawn of civilization. Humanity’s earliest settlement is Hitoyori. A special beast tribe, the Myū, can speak the human language and wield powerful magic — when Lyudmila comes to teach magic to the people of Hitoyori, it marks the greatest turning point in the land’s history. This era ties directly into how Faie’s magic and the Shrines of the Mystic first reach humanity.
Dungeons & Progression
Dungeon design rule
Each dungeon in the game is full-length in only one of the four Ages and a shorter, simplified version in the other three. So in the Age of Budding you’ll pass through trimmed-down versions of ruins whose full forms live in other eras — clear them for keys, Shards of Life and magicite, but expect the major set-pieces elsewhere.
Watch for the era’s Shrine of the Mystic trials (Faie’s magic) and Shrines of Life (a Shard of Life each — 4 Shards raise max vitality). Many rooms are monster closets: doors lock until you defeat every enemy.
Boss: Salathmadru
Salathmadru — the earliest-era boss
The boss tied to the Hitoyori / Myū beast-tribe conflict. Bring a two-weapon loadout with a ranged option and keep Warp ready as your dodge tool — the universal boss survival trick. See the full table below for the recorded strategy.
Key NPCs
Kai
Young chief of Hitoyori; sees the Myū as just another beast threat.
Hirk
Woman of Hitoyori studying magic to save the village’s children.
Lyudmila
A Myū woman from the snow field who comes to teach humans magic.
