Age of Safekeeping — Walkthrough

Age of Safekeeping — Walkthrough

The present day — Elliot’s home era and the journey’s final stage.

Overview

The Kingdom of Huther stands protected by Princess Heuria’s spell of Safekeeping. This era holds the Doorway of Time itself — and the final confrontation with The Sorcerer at the Northern Tower.

Progression

Step-by-step dungeon progression for this Age will be detailed here. Cross-links to Faie Magic (shrines) and Weapons.

Bosses This Age (5)

Greatsword Guardian
Tag Guardian (paired with Great Bow Guardian)
Unexplored Ruins (boss room reached via Red Door after grabbing the Red Unexplored Ruins Key)First real boss of the Prologue. Telegraphed heavy greatsword swings; dodge the wind-up then punish. Great Bow Guardian
Tag Guardian (paired with Greatsword Guardian)
Mist Ruins - Innermost Area (through the Red Door)Ranged guardian that fires arrow volleys; close the gap or block arrows with the shield, then punish between shots. Also reappears as a mini-boss (2x Great Bow Guardian guard a Shard of Life in Shrine of Life 8).Sword & Shield (block arrows) or Bow to trade at rangeMagicite; post-boss big chest holds Ancient Text and Ancient Key
Ulfr DeathclawIce Ruins (through the Red Door near the beginning, after the ice-block puzzles)Tough for its point in the game. Reliable approach: dodge his attacks and chip him with Faie's Enhanced Ignite (ranged pot-shots) rather than trading hits.Faie's Enhanced Ignite (ranged) + dodgeQuiver (from boss chest); magicite
Lord of the MawRainbow Lotus (end of the area)Throw bombs into its open mouth, and hit its green orb (weak point) when exposed.Bombs (into the mouth) + ranged hits on the green orbBig chest holds the Moonmirror (replaces Elliot's Buckler); nearby Manuscript - An Epistle from the Hero King
The Sorcerer
Final boss (named only as 'The Sorcerer')
Northern Tower (Age of Safekeeping), at the bottom/basement of the towerEndgame boss tied to all three endings. Bad Ending: simply defeat him with normal attacks for a non-final ending. Standard Ending: defeat him using the Leytstaff Sword's Mystic Seal (Nomutota) super charge attack after finding the three sages. True Ending: with the Amber Pendant equipped, do NOT defeat him - perform three perfect guards instead.Leytstaff Sword (Mystic Seal / Nomutota charge) for Standard Ending; perfect guards for True EndingEnding achievement/stamp; story conclusion

Era & Setting

The Age of Safekeeping is the present and Elliot’s starting era. The hub is the Kingdom of Huther with Huther Castle — Heuria’s room holds the Amber Pendant (key to the True Ending), and the Doorway Ruins here contain the Doorway of Time. The Grandtree near Neverwither holds the first sage.

Dungeons & Progression

Ice Ruins (full-length here) → Quiver

The Ice Ruins are full-length in the Age of Safekeeping, built around ice-block sliding puzzles. The boss Ulfr Deathclaw (a tougher Ulfr variant) drops a Quiver.

Rainbow Lotus → Moonmirror

At the Rainbow Lotus, fight the Lord of the Maw: throw bombs into its mouth and hit the green orb weak point. The reward, the Moonmirror, replaces your Buckler.

Grandtree is a linear dungeon holding the first sage and the Traveler’s Notes on the Wood manuscript. The Desert Caves appear here as a smaller, simplified version (their full form is in another Age).

Boss Strategy Callouts

Ulfr Deathclaw — Ice Ruins

Tougher than Frostclaw. Dodge and chip with Enhanced Ignite rather than trading hits. Drops a Quiver.

Lord of the Maw — Rainbow Lotus

Throw bombs into the mouth, then strike the green orb. Rewards the Moonmirror (replaces the Buckler).

Final Boss: The Sorcerer

The Sorcerer — Northern Tower (bottom)

The final boss sits at the bottom of the Northern Tower in this Age. One boss, three ending outcomes depending on how you finish the fight.

⚠ Spoiler — The three endings (spoilers)

Bad Ending: defeat The Sorcerer normally.

Standard Ending: defeat him with the Leytstaff Sword’s Mystic Seal (“Nomutota”) charge, earned after finding the three sages (Grandtree, Mount Phoenix, Geared Ruins).

True Ending: with the Amber Pendant equipped (and roughly 35–50 Cats collected), do not kill him — land three perfect guards instead. Full details on The Four Ages & Endings.
